About our coach
Amanda (Mandy) is a fun-loving, straightforward, down to Earth wife and mother.
Having walked her own path toward mental wellness, she is passionate about breaking the stigma around mental health in the Rio Grande Valley as well as making care and services accessible to the community she holds dear to her heart.
Along with her certification from the American Association of Christian Counselors, (AACC) she has over 8 years experience in lay counseling. Also being familiar with 12 step recovery programs, she is confident in helping individuals who struggle with all kinds of life issues.
Although her certification comes from a faith based organization, she does not impose her beliefs on her clients. She welcomes people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life and firmly believes that everyone deserves a safe space to work through life’s challenges with a loving and empathetic person by their side.

No. While coaching and therapy can both help people improve their lives, they differ in their focus, goals, and how they approach clients. Coaching focuses on personal development and actionable strategies, whereas therapy is more focused on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions.
Do I need a mental health diagnosis to benefit from coaching?
No. Coaching is for anyone seeking personal growth and mental wellness.
Do you accept major insurances/Medicare?
Unfortunately, no. But we plan to keep our prices lower than the cash price you would pay anywhere else.
Do you see children/teens?
We are working toward it, but at the moment are only accepting clients who are 18 years and older.
